2026 Moves Wake Men’s Soccer League Information

Hello!

Hello and welcome to Wake County’s first ever $10,000 prize soccer league! Before signing up, feel free to read about the competition’s information below! The final date to register for a team to compete for the 2026 season is August 5^th, 2026, and the final date to add team members is August 14^th, 2026.

Logistics

Upon being invited to or creating a team to compete, players will have access to the season schedule, league and knockout tables, stat leaders (goals, assists, and clean sheets), and player and team profile. Key highlights and news will be posted to the @movesxwake Instagram and Facebook accounts to relive your best moments, and to be informed on match, table, and stat results. Matches are 11v11 and divided into 40-minute halves.
The competition is divided into two phases, the league phase and the knockout phase, which will be played on weekends from August 15^th, 2026 – November 28^th, 2026. The league phase includes each of the original 12 teams and will be played across the season’s first 11 match weeks (each team will play once per week), and the knockout phase includes the league table’s top 8 teams and will be played across the season’s final 3 match weeks.
Matches will be played at Wake County soccer fields. Players will receive notifications for upcoming and canceled matches (unless you disallow email/phone reminders being delivered). In the event of a canceled match (due to weather conditions), the match will be rescheduled, possibly for a weekday, and possibly at a different location.
The final match will be a ticketed event that will be played at a Wake County stadium soccer field. Following the match’s final whistle, the winning team members will be presented with the $10,000 check, trophy and medals, and individual awards (if applicable).

Registration

There are two ways for a player to be registered for a team to compete. First, by being invited to a team that reaches the minimum player requirement (of 12), which is created by their team captain, or second, by being the team captain, and creating the team and inviting team members to reach the minimum player requirement. The maximum player limit per team is 17. Creating a team to compete in the league for the 2026 season will cost $176 per player for a team of 17.

Jerseys

Home and away team jerseys will be delivered to the team captain’s input shipping address. Team captains will be responsible for distributing a home and away jersey to each team member which is required to be worn at all matches to be allowed to play (jerseys possess the league’s sponsors).
Players are required to arrive at least 10 minutes before all their matches start to check in, except for their first match. Players are required to arrive at least 20 minutes before their first match to register their official team jersey number and profile photo. Once their number has been registered, it is not possible to change and must be worn at all matches to be allowed to play (numbers possess the player’s identification).
